Casey O’Brien for Judge
11th District Court of Appeals

I have a wealth of legal knowledge and experience which, along with my volunteer positions, have given me the ability to not only see both sides of most disputes but to observe the impact appellate decisions have on the lower Courts and the everyday lives of the citizens of Northeast Ohio.

I have appeared in almost every Court in the 11th district (Lake, Geauga, Ashtabula, Portage, and Trumbull Counties) which has provided me a unique view of the wide array of citizens, businesses, civic organizations and governmental entities throughout this diverse district.

It is these experiences, along with my core legal training under some of the best professors, attorneys and Judges in Northeast Ohio that have prepared me for this position.

The 11th District Court of Appeals needs the perspective of someone with a busy life, similar to the voters in Lake, Ashtabula, Trumbull, Portage and Geauga Counties. Whether it is getting my kids ready for school, preparing for Court, coaching one of many sports team or running to a non-profit board meeting, time management skills are of the upmost importance. Not a day goes by that I don’t recognize and respect the effect that our Courts have on our day to day lives.

I believe the 11th District Court of Appeals would be well served with the input of someone with my life experience and training in order to carry out the important tasks of reviewing the decisions of the lower Courts and the original jurisdiction cases it handles.
