Bio – family, civic and community involvement, etc.:
After college, my husband and I moved to Northeast, Ohio. We raised our three children in Warren, and it has been my family’s home for nearly 30 years. I am involved in my community in several ways. Aside from my participation in my church, I perform volunteer work for the Howland Rotary Club, Meals on Wheels and Trumbull County Republican Women’s Club. I am a supporter of the Mya Women’s Center, the Christian Medical College of Vellore, Meals on Wheels and two international schools for girls.
I will strictly uphold the constitution in my decisions and will make efficient use of the court system. I vow to treat everyone before the court with dignity and respect and ensure all people are fairly heard and their rights are preserved.
Why you are seeking public office?
I was interested in the law from a very young age. It was my respect for our Constitution that led me to enroll in law school at the University of Akron School of Law, where I earned my law degree over 22 years ago. I have practiced law at every level within the court’s jurisdiction. A majority of the cases filed in the Court of Appeals stem from criminal cases, but a great number of the appeals filed are cases that originated in the Domestic Relations Court. I have extensive experience in adult and juvenile criminal law as both a prosecutor and a defense attorney. In addition, my diverse law practice includes years of experience in all matters of family law, civil litigation and appellate law.
I believe in a fair, just and impartial judicial branch and that a judge’s role should be as an interpreter of the law. If elected, I will strictly uphold the constitution in my decisions and will make efficient use of the court system. I vow to treat everyone before the court with dignity and respect and ensure all people are fairly heard and their rights are preserved.
I am extremely well-prepared to serve on the bench and I would be honored to serve our community in that endeavor.
