Elect Bill Hanchosky
on November 4th

With a 36-year career in real estate, working alongside private investors and managing nearly 1,800 apartments, I have a lifetime of experience, of oversight, planning, and stewardship of important assets. As I consider retiring soon,I feel called to dedicate my time and skills to serving the Geneva Area City Schools.

I have been married for 36 years, and together my wife and I raised five children. Each of them benefited from a professional, customized homeschool curriculum before going on to enjoy and excel in Geneva schools. Our family’s positive experience with the district gives me a deep appreciation for the opportunities Geneva schools provided, and a desire to ensure they remain strong for future generations.

My top priority is to represent the interests of the taxpayers, who are the true investors in our schools. I want to assist with the careful maintenance and oversight of our school buildings, ensuring they are preserved with strategies in place so they endure for decades to come. I know the Home is the First Classroom, therfore we must work at ways to get greater parental involvement thus allowing teachers to teach more effectively with as little complication or confusion as possible.

I believe in frugal, common-sense spending of taxpayer dollars. Investments in curriculum and school resources must prepare our young people to use both their hands and their minds—to be ready not only for academic achievement, but also for practical success in life. I hope to bring a strong calm approach to the budget review process, working to highlight the best things already happening in our district while also addressing issues that need corrected. And most importantly I believe as Teddy Roosevelt did and I quote: “A thorough knowledge of the Bible is worth more than a college education.” It is essential for the nation’s welfare and moral character.

Every decision I make will be guided by one principle: doing what is best for the taxpayers and for the students whose education we are entrusted. It would be an honor to serve on the school board and help guide Geneva schools toward a future of excellence, stability, and opportunity.
