Re Elect Sarah Fowler-Arthur in 2026
State Representative Sarah Fowler Arthur filed her petitions for re-election today at the Geauga County Board of Elections, officially launching her campaign for another term representing Ohio’s 99th House District, which includes portions of Ashtabula and Geauga Counties.
Fowler Arthur is currently serving her third term in the Ohio House of Representatives and has represented the district since January 2021. She presently chairs the House K–12 Education Committee and also serves on the Local Government, Children & Human Services, and Community Revitalization Committees.
“Serving the families of the 99th District has been an honor,” Fowler Arthur said. “I remain committed to strengthening education, supporting parents and local communities, and ensuring Ohio’s policies reflect common sense, accountability, and opportunity for the next generation.”
Prior to her election to the Ohio House, Fowler Arthur served on the Ohio State Board of Education from 2013 to 2020. First elected in 2012 at the age of 23, she became the first homeschool graduate in the nation elected to a State Board of Education. During her tenure, she supported parental direction in education and local control of public schools, winning re-election twice in a six-county district. She is a staunch advocate for reading and math improvements, career tech opportunities, and closing gaps for children in foster care.
A lifelong entrepreneur, Fowler Arthur grew up working on her family farm, and started her first business at age eleven. She has championed free market enterprise and cutting red tape, working diligently on occupational licensure reform throughout her five years in the legislature.
In 2020, Fowler Arthur married Isaac Arthur, a U.S. Army veteran and science educator. The couple resides on their farm in Plymouth Township, Ashtabula County, where they homeschool their three children—Kristofer, Isabella, and Geometry—whom they formally adopted in 2023. They are also licensed foster care parents and active in community events throughout the district.
